Keith’s art object for New Nanyang expresses his painting sensibilities in a three-dimensional form. Excited to work with metal, the artist appreciated the way metal’s sensuality parallels that of paint. Keith’s approach gravitated toward the concept of making the hard material appear and feel soft, reflecting his approach toward masculine and feminine elements in his paintings.

Drawing on decades of techniques and expertise passed down through generations, their commitment to a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary approaches was recognised with the prestigious iF Design Award in 2016.
