When the Housing Development Board (HDB) started building public housing on pillars to free up ground space, 'void decks' were coined as a uniquely Singaporean term. From children playing games everyday, to festive celebrations that come once a year, and weddings that come once a lifetime, these communal spaces have hosted a myriad of memories for all Singaporeans.
