Patterns of Our Time- Mynahs Porcelain Plate (15cm)
Mynahs Porcelain Plate
Despite its size, Singapore is home to a rich biodiversity of wildlife, including 390 species of birds. But none are as commonly found in the city as the Javan mynah, which was said to be introduced to Singapore through the caged bird trade in the 1920s from the Indonesian islands of Java and Bali. Its distinctive yellow beak and legs and the white patches below its wings make it a particularly easy bird to identify.

Quality Of Product:
Porcelain is a medium where colour variation is a natural occurring feature of reactive, speckled, matte and cobalt-blue glazed finishing. Irregularities in glaze and texture should be celebrated as a mark of the artist's hand. Therefore, each piece is unique and has a handcrafted element to it.
