Kiriko or Japanese cut glasses has been hand carved one by one for over 100 years. The mastery of this traditional craft is one that takes much skills, time and devotion. The Yuisen Old Fashioned Kiriko Glass by ISSOU (Muromachi Glass Crafts) is inspired by traditional Japanese pattern "Sensuji" used in kimono designs. The vertical lines are cut with precision at intervals of about 3mm without any gaps, creating a regularly arranged straight cuts that reflect light. Coupled with the shadow of the streak pattern reflected on the table surface the glass exudes the unique and luxurious brilliance of Edo Kiriko.
