38works sets itself apart through the exclusive use of Aizu Cotton. Owing its roots to the old Harayama Textile Factory founded in 1902, Aizu Cotton possesses unique qualities, making it a standout fabric in the Fukushima prefecture. Originally made for the people who work the farms, it was the material of choice due to its ability to keep the user cool during the summer and warm when winter came. The production of Aizu Cotton has dwindled over the decades, with only 2 remaining fabric producers. 38works takes upon itself the mandate to preserve this unique material for future generations.
