The original drinking cup was used by our Prime Minister during his national addresses to Singaporeans on several occasions during the Covid-19 pandemic, where he would take a sip from the cup before giving the next address in a different language.
In the midst of uncertain times, a little blue cup arose to give the nation a gentle dose of humour. Since then, this little blue cup has gained fame among Singaporeans as the "Magic, Language-changing Cup".
