Year Of The Dragon
Temple of Skate x Kihara Porcelain

In "Year of the Dragon," the dragon emerges as a powerful symbol intricately woven into the cultural fabric of Singapore, representing strength, prosperity, and good fortune. The original artwork, created with Sumi ink on rice paper, showcases fluid and precise brushwork reminiscent of Japanese calligraphy. This technique creates a visual language that transcends cultural boundaries, as the dragon dances across the canvas, celebrating the enduring legacy of Asian artistry and craftsmanship.

Designed by Temple of Skate, created by Singaporean artist Tucks (Tuck Wai), this artwork draws profound inspiration from the Japanese ukiyo-e painting style. Tucks, known for his collaborations with brands like Vans, Real Skateboards, Element Skateboards, and Mob Grip, seamlessly blends his passion for skating with the timeless elegance of Japanese ukiyo-e art.
