Acornest Table Clock

The improper disposal of cow dung from dairy farmers in West Bandung has led to landfill and water pollution. To minimise such contamination, Cowka has developed a range of objects using manure, including clocks, lamps and flower pots. It has also collaborated with Japanese design strategist Eisuke Tachikawa to create ACORNEST, a series of biodegradable, acorn-shaped products made from cow dung. Each piece is handmade in small batches. Cowka incorporates sustainability into everyday life, showing how environmental consciousness and personal wellbeing can coexist.
