Incinerated Ware Collection

The porcelain dining collection is glazed entirely with incinerator ash, the final residue of Singapore’s municipal waste. As ceramic glaze colourants are typically imported, the project proposes a homegrown alternative, and explores how glaze aesthetics can reflect the colours and textures of one’s urban environment.
