Lean series - Yellow and Blue

What began as a research exploration into recycling plastic by-products has turned into the B.S.P series. Using plastic waste from CNC machining and 3D printing failures, Atelier SOHN developed a technique that bonds recycled fragments together using solvents. The result is a material that has an organic, melted appearance, reminiscent of spilled cheese. The method is highly adaptable, allowing for a variety of shapes, colours and applications.

Crafted from transparent glass pipes and recycled ABS pellets, the Lean vase exudes a striking contrast between the raw, molten recycled plastic surface and the clarity of glass. The ABS pellets are fused with acetone in a fumigation process that forms organic, sculptural textures with a distinctive visual character. With this technique, Lean has transformed industrial waste into an expressive, functional object.
