Steeped in generations of Kokeshi-making tradition, Sakurai Kokeshi distinguishes itself by crafting its own tools and cultivating Mizuki trees specifically for creating these iconic dolls. Situated in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, the current father-son duo, Akihiro Sakurai (5th generation), and Naomichi Sakurai (6th generation), diligently perpetuate the legacy and expertise of Kokeshi doll craftsmanship.
