Mosu

Taking inspiration from Timor-Leste’s weaving traditions, the co-designed suspended screen features the sutakavail (gecko) motif, a symbol of welcome and coexistence with nature. Using a handwoven plant-dyed textile and an intricate meli-meli (floating weft) technique, Mosu shines a light on these weaving artisans and pays homage to their culture, ecology and creative energy.
