Tjitrowirjo collaborated with HANDEP, a social enterprise that works with indigenous Dayak communities in Central Kalimantan, to create a rattan furniture collection that reimagines the role of indigenous craft and artisans in today’s world. Using responsibly harvested rattan and natural dyes, the pieces show the deep ties between these artisans, their heritage and the land by honouring “forest wisdom”.
