Origin Made - Charred Vase

Founded by Tan and his wife Cherie Er, Origin Made is a Porto-based brand focused on craftspeople and the process of making. With the intention of creating handmade products that blur the lines between art and design, it has worked with Iberian artisans across woodworking, weaving, ceramics, metalworking and stone carving. All the small-batch products were made within 150km of Origin Made’s studio.

Material: Barro Preto Clay
Due to this material and handcrafted process, the vases might present some different shades and color variations. The final texture, consistency and color of the piece depends on the firing conditions and how each vase is being placed inside the pit. All of our pieces are uniquely handcrafted and no one is the same as the other. Observations of such differences across products or orders does not constitute a basis for order cancellation or product returns.

Care Instructions:
Use a dry soft cloth and do not use household cleaners. While the product has already been delicately hand lacquered after firing by the craftsperson, it may not be 100% waterproof.
